Director
Beth McClain Schnell, is thrilled to be returning to work with CAPA students again this summer after directing Anything Goes last summer. Beth holds a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance from Wright State University and a Master’s in Education from Miami University. Beth has performed professionally in New York City as well as regionally, and locally here in Cincinnati. She has taught several theatre workshops and camps for the Artist’s Crossing in NYC and The Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton, Ohio. During the school year, you can find her teaching Middle School English at Cincinnati Public’s Riverview East Academy.

Music Director
Megan Ainsley Callahan performs with many local companies, including The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, The Carnegie, and The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, among others. Recent performances include Tarzan (Tarzan’s Mother Ensemble), The Secret Garden (Lily), Hair (Sheila), Aladdin Jr. (Jasmine), Company (April), Into the Woods (Little Red Ridinghood), Next to Normal (Natalie), Les Misérables (Cosette), Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Hairspray (Amber von Tussle) and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey). Megan has two degrees in vocal performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. She serves as section leader at Armstrong United Methodist Church. In the school year, she is an assistant teacher at Montessori Center Room.

Choreographer
Regionally John has performed with: The Papermill Theater, Broadway Palm West, Roxy Regional, The Barn Theater, Cherry County Playhouse, The Geffen Playhouse, The Knightsbridge Theater, Performance Riverside and Candlelight Pavillion. John has toured with Theater IV, Artreach, Nebraska Theater Caravan and Theaterworks. John has also performed at Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, Universal Studios, King’s Island, Cedar Point, Coney Island and Americana.
Locally, John has worked withLoveland Stage Company, Showbiz Players, Mason Community Players, Cincinnati Music Theatre, Falcon Theater and The Showboat Majestic. John has has been an adjudicator for The League of Cincinnati Theaters (LCT) and Association of Community Theaters (ACT). Most recently, John performed in “Swing!” At The Carnegie, The Jungle Book Jr. with The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati, King’s Island’s Winterfest in the Holly Jolly Trolley and The Who’s Tommy in Concert at Memorial Hall. His next project will be Pippin at the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater. |
Director
Danielle Muething is happy to be returning for her third year directing for CAPA’s summer camp. Last year she directed Seussical Kids and Xanadu Jr. and made her debut with the company directing Jungle Book Kids in 2016. Danielle has been a professional actor for over 20 years around the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area as well as in Orlando, Florida. She has worked for such great companies as The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, The Carnegie, and Cincinnati Landmark Productions. Within the last 10 years she has added writing and directing to her credits. Her favorite writing credits include the training video for the Cincinnati Museum Center where she was also lucky enough to be in the video, and at the Newport Aquarium, where she co-wrote the script for Scuba Santa and did voice over work for many events including Mermaids. She is also a proud member of the a capella singing duo The Sweet and Lows. Outside of her performance jobs she loves to ride her Wonder Woman motorcycle with her amazing husband, Mike, and hang out with her two doggies, Bender and Oz.

Music Director
Alice Bohn Bradford received her bachelor’s in Music Education with an emphasis in piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 1995 and Master’s in School Counseling from Xavier University in 2008. She is a Level III Certified Orff-Schulwerk Educator, and teaches general music at Indian Hill Elementary School. She also directs and choreographs the grade level musicals and three choirs. She has worked in education for twenty-two years, with her first five in New Richmond Schools. Locally, she has performed at the Showboat Majestic, and played dueling pianos at Howl at the Moon Saloon. She has sang and played keyboards in local rock cover bands for 15 years, and retired from regular band work when her daughter was born in 2011. This is her 7th year music directing the summer camps with CAPA. Mrs. Bohn lives in Anderson township with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

Music Director
Xan Waddell Jeffery, is beginning her 11th year of teaching voice lessons in the Indian Hill School District and has been a Music Director for our summer musicals for five years. Xan holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees in Voice Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), U. of Cincinnati. She has voice studios in Indian Hill and Anderson Township. She also music directs shows for several high schools and professional theaters in the tri-state area each year. Xan is a member of the Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble, Cincinnati Choral Society and is an alto soloist at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Xan and her husband, Mike, live in Anderson Township with their two dogs and are the proud parents of four adult children living in four different time zones.

Costume Designer
Grace Wenstrup is returning for her seventh summer with the
Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts Summer Camp creating costumes and make up. Grace has worked with children her entire life! She graduated from Transylvania University with a BA in Education, and a minor in Music. She is a mezzo-soprano and has performed in many musicals including Camelot, Annie Get Your Gun, Bye Bye Birdie, Little Abner and Shrek. She has been involved in writing, producing, directing and performing in musical fund raising shows. She has performed as a soloist with the Hyde Park Community Methodist Church Choir, St. Thomas Episcopal Church Choir and other groups in the area. Grace has taught children for 37 years and has worked with highly talent students in fun and interesting ways. She has extensive experience in bringing stories to life for children. Assembling a team of talented students, creative parents, teachers and staff, Grace has directed, produced, costumed and designed makeup for the sixth grade musicals at Pattison Elementary including Joust, Jungle Book Kids, Aladdin Kids, Cinderella Kids and Little Mermaid, Jr. Grace brings out the very best in every production. “No matter what anyone says, this is Broadway!” |
